Who Knew

Loved the color combo this week from You'll find me there almost every week it's such an inspiring place.

So our challenge this week was to use, yellow, aqua, black and white for the base colors, then add metal, flowers and lace.

I had used an SEI line for this pen & pencil holder and thought it was perfect for this weeks challenge. I painted a 9" Damask in white for base layer, then paper scraps from October Afternoon, SEI, MME, for subsequent layers. Then added paper lace from Basic Grey, doilie and chipboard butterfly from LYB, which I glimmermisted with Patina, Royal Blue and Meadow Green.
This project used an empty (and washed) veggie can. I made this one for my mom and another one for my sister. My sister loved it so much, she made 12 for Christmas gifts for co-workers. It's an easy project that takes about 30 minutes, and the Crop A Dile makes holes super easy to thread ribbon, brads or jump rings through. Enjoy!

  1. I love the painting you added to this! Looks fabulous! Fantastic layering and what a cute project. I think I am going to have to try altering a can.

  2. great job with the flowers! if i were to try to use that many flowers it would be a disaster.... fabu job!
